Gill Hall

Gill is managing partner and head of the commercial team.

She has over 20 years’ experience in commercial law with a particular specialism in IP and IT. Before joining Square One Law in 2018 Gill headed the IP and IT team at national firm, Hempsons and was head of the commercial team at Muckle LLP for 19 years prior to that.

Gill has significant expertise in drafting and negotiating IT contracts including complex or multi-party agreements. She has been recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers as a leading expert in IT law.

Gill is experienced at advising clients on the protection and exploitation of IP. She advises on IP licensing arrangements, sales and acquisitions of IP assets and joint development and collaboration agreements.

Gill has worked with a broad range of public and private sector clients from NHS Trusts and Port Authorities to international freight forwarding companies and engineering businesses.

Gill is a member of the Society for Computers and Law, an Academy Council member of Kings Priory School and has held a number of non-executive directorships in a variety of sectors.
