Peter is a partner in our property team.
He is experienced in all aspects of commercial property work from developments, investments and estate management to advising on the property aspects of corporate transactions and re-financings.
Peter trained at City law firm Lawrence Graham and qualified into their commercial property department. Peter later decided to move back to the North East where he worked with Ward Hadaway, then Muckle LLP before joining Square One Law in 2013.
He advises developer clients on land acquisitions, options and pre-emptions, site assembly and development agreements and has particular expertise advising on developments in the office, industrial, leisure and hotel sectors.
Peter advises investor clients on the acquisition, management and disposal of their real estate assets across all sectors, including office, industrial, retail, leisure and hotels and has dealt with a large number of high value, complex transactions across the country.
He also advises borrowers on high value, complex property refinancing with the work often involving the refinancing of multiple properties within a portfolio.
Peter is a mentor for Sunderland University Legal Practice Course students and was a director of Keyfund, a charity based in the North East that works with teenagers and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds, from 2007 – 2018.
