Mark heads up the financial team. He is a transactional lawyer who has strong client relationship skills. He regularly advises clients across a variety of business sectors, such as the motor, retail, leisure, energy and technology sectors.
Mark has a particular specialism in providing advice in all aspects of banking and finance work and especially in acquisition finance and property development finance where he regularly advises both borrowers and lenders.
Recent experience includes advising a borrower on acquisition facilities of £25m in relation to the acquisition of a care home group, advising a corporate borrower on a real estate facility of in excess of £12m, advising a lender on the provision of facilities to an independent school, advising a borrower on an $80m multi-currency revolving credit agreement, advising a borrower upon property acquisition facilities of £45m (£33m of debt and £12m of equity) and advising a lender on the provision of £15m of debt facilities to a care home operator for the development of three care homes.
The Legal 500 recommends Mark as a leading individual for banking and finance and notes that clients have described him as ‘talented’, ‘a safe pair of hands’ and have also praised him for ‘his breadth of view’.
