Square One Law's employment team and NRG are delighted to invite you to the fourth seminar in the People Power Series for an overview of recent and expected developments likely to influence the management of your business.
Jean-Pierre van Zyl, head of the employment team, will discuss the trend towards flexible employment in the gig economy, the arrangements that work and those that don’t as well as how to effectively protect your organisation’s intellectual property and business contacts from competition.
Simon Loy, senior employment partner will discuss holiday pay including the recent line of cases relating to the inclusion of commission, overtime and bonus payments in holiday pay calculations. He will also review the latest developments in claims for back pay where such amounts have not been included historically.
Susie Das, senior associate, will review recent legal developments and common queries on dress codes in the workplace and offering practical advice on handling dress code related issues.
Rebecca Fielding, senior associate, will consider the potential implications of a recent Employment Tribunal decision to uphold a claim of direct sex discrimination arising as a result of the employer offering enhanced maternity pay but no enhanced pay for male employees wishing to assume the primary carer role.
