Square One Law and NRG are hosting a seminar to update HR professionals on the ‘What, How and When?’ of forthcoming changes to employment law. Our expert team will consider what you need to do, how it can be achieved and when you need to do it.
The seminar will provide you with an overview of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), email privacy, the removal of tribunal fees, gender inequality and developments in long-term sickness absence management.
Speakers
Simon Loy, senior employment partner, will look at matters on the employment horizon that HR professionals need to be aware of including gig economy, email privacy and the removal of tribunal fees.
Roisin Patton, employment partner will consider the headline-grabbing topic of gender inequality in the workplace, Gender Pay Gap Regulations and various provisions for encouraging gender diversity at board level.
Helen Brain, commercial partner will discuss how best to prepare for the General Data Protection Regulations due to come into force in May 2018, the impact they will bring and the consequences for non-compliant businesses.
Rebecca Fielding, senior associate in the employment team, will provide insight to the latest decisions surrounding the thorny issue of managing long term sickness absence, specifically looking at the case law on reasonable adjustments and exploring the question, what exactly does “reasonable” look like?
