Square One Law Helps to Support Bloodrun Emergency Voluntary Service
Julie is a senior associate in the employment team. She has nearly 20 years’ experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law and has gained expertise in settling claims via alternative dispute resolution methods and is an experienced mediator in employment disputes.
Julie has a great breadth of experience ranging from drafting employment contracts or service agreements, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, policies and procedures and settlement agreements, to the conduct of disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and sickness management processes. She also has experience of hearing appeals on behalf of clients in connection with disciplinary processes and of conducting mediation for clients arising from disputes in the workplace and regularly delivers bespoke training to clients.
Julie has extensive experience of providing advice to clients of the corporate and commercial property teams in connection with TUPE issues arising on the acquisition or sale of businesses.
Julie had previously worked with Newcastle law firms, Muckle, Dickinson Dees and Short, Richardson, Forth, before joining Jacksons in 2002. At Square One Law she will be based at our Stockton office but will operate as part of the highly experienced employment team.
Julie joined the Enterprise Adviser volunteer network on behalf of Tees Valley Combined Authority in October 2018 and provides school pupils with advice on careers within the legal sector.
