Robin has been based in the North East throughout his legal career which spans over 25 years and he is known for building long term client relationships and providing highly commercial advice. Robin represents regionally based businesses and entrepreneurs as well as regularly working for national and international clients particularly in the property and leisure sectors.
Robin has a wide range of skills. He specialises in commercial litigation acting in a wide range of commercial disputes, shareholder and director disputes, fraud and professional negligence claims, as well as private client matters involving all aspects of family law for high net worth individuals.
Robin is also well known for his sports law practice and has represented many nationally and internationally known clients and has acted for both Claimants and Defendants in many high profile sports cases which have attracted considerable media attention. These include the Newcastle United “Save our Seats” case which following a successful Court of Appeal decision, opened the way for the redevelopment of St James’ Park.
He currently acts for sports professionals in disciplinary and arbitration proceedings, as well as acting in contractual and regulatory disputes across various sectors of the sports industry.
