London lawyer returns to North East to be a partner at Square One Law

Francesca Angelucci has recently joined commercial law firm, Square One Law as a partner from niche London private client firm, Judge Sykes Frixou.

Francesca is a highly experienced lawyer who acts predominantly for high net worth individuals, trustees, private banks, investment companies and international clients on all aspects of residential property.

She developed her career in the North East, specialising in residential conveyancing with Watson Burton and Bond Dickinson, before moving to London to become a partner in a niche private client firm, based in the West End.

Francesca said, “I am delighted to be returning to my roots in the North East. My years in London have given me an unrivalled experience of the property market. I acted for a variety of high net worth clients, both based in the UK and internationally, and I am looking forward to bringing a London level of service to the North East.

“In my experience people are looking for a highly professional service in their personal matters as well as their business needs. What impressed me about Square One Law was their forward thinking attitude about offering an experienced specialised team that can offer advice about succession planning, wills, trusts, matrimonial, wealth management, employment and in my case all aspects of personal property.”

Senior partner Ian Gilthorpe said of the appointment: “As other firms are scaling back or no longer offer private client services, we believe in providing a full service team. Our goal has always been to develop long-term relationships with our clients and that means looking after their personal legal matters as well as their business needs. Francesca will head up our team and work closely with our other partners, in particular, Stuart Hamilton who specialises in areas such as succession planning for business owners, inheritance tax planning, wills, trusts and capacity issues.”
