More than ever North East businesses need their workforce to be efficient and productive, but also able to remain healthy and happy as they navigate a challenging and unpredictable economic and political backdrop.

Therefore, the North East England Chamber of Commerce, the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust and North East law firm, Square One Law, are working together to provide business leaders in the Tees Valley with practical solutions of how to put mental health at the heart of their business agenda.

It will be an interactive event so you will be able to ask questions to the experienced panel and hear about areas of best practice.

Keynote speakers will include:
• Chamber President, John McCabe, who has placed mental health at the top of the agenda for his time as President;
• Colin Martin, Chief Executive of the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust which provides mental health services across Co. Durham, Darlington, the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and York;
• Jean-Pierre van Zyl, Head of the employment team at Square One Law will provide the most up-to-date advice on how to approach mental health in the workplace in a positive and practical way;
• Case Study examples from local businesses, including Amanda Williams, Head of HR, Quorn Foods on taking action to promote good mental health in the workplace.

Join us at Teesside University’s Business School on 7 March to find out why mental health is recognised as one of the key challenges facing the region.
