Yorkshire PLC turns to Square One Law to help secure multi-million pound sale

FAST-GROWING North East law firm Square One Law has advised on the sale of Yorkshire-based software business Atlantic Global.

After previously advising on its AIM flotation Square One Law’s managing partner Alan Fletcher was asked by Cleckheaton-based Atlantic Global to help secure its sale.

US-based international software and consulting company KeyedIn Solutions agreed to buy the business late last month – just five months after the sale process was launched.

Eugene Blaine, Atlantic Global’s chief executive, said: “I have worked with Alan Fletcher since 2001, when he helped the management team to successfully float the company on the AIM market.

“Since 2001, Alan has continued to provide Atlantic Global with much valued legal, commercial and strategic advice.

“The successful sale of the company was completed in record time and with minimal disruption to the day-to -day operational activities of the business.”

Atlantic Global says the deal will see its successful Software as a Service product, benefit from the world-wide sales and marketing clout of  KeyedIn.

KeyedIn was advised by City law firm Pinsent Masons.

Blaine added: “Square One Law established a very good and pragmatic working relationship with Pinsent Masons, and the other advisers.

“Their willingness to work night and day, including weekends, to meet challenging deadlines was also very impressive.

“Alan has also provided Atlantic Global with access to his extensive network of contacts.”
Alan Fletcher said: “I am delighted to have helped Atlantic Global progress to the next exciting stage of its development.

“My senior associate, Marie Louise Bozonet played an important role in helping meet the tight deadlines. When doing this type of work you need the support of an excellent team.

“The additional sales support KeyedIn will provide, and access to international markets, positions the company to achieve significant growth and provides exciting opportunities for both the company’s products and its employees.

“I look forward to continuing to support the company as it seeks to maximise such opportunities.”
