Square One Law congratulations “Young Business Person of the Year” David Clayton

The property team at Square One Law were delighted to see their client David Clayton awarded the title of “Young Business Person of the Year” at The Journal’s annual North East Business Executive of the Year celebrations earlier this month.

Two years ago, having been made redundant and facing bleak employment opportunities, David showed his entrepreneurial spirit and launched Northern Garden Sheds Limited, a bespoke shed making company based in Newcastle.

David approached the Prince’s Trust with his idea to utilise his eleven years of shed building skills. He went on to secure funding and a mentor and two years on his fledgling business is thriving with sales of over £200,000 and plans to expand to bigger premises complete with a showroom.

Northern Garden Sheds Limited offer a range of custom made sheds and summer houses that are handcrafted to meet the needs of each individual customer helping them to transform their outside space.

Speaking at the event David said: “This really does mean everything to me. My friends and family know how hard I’ve worked to get the business up and running, but to be recognised by other people, the business community, really is something else.”
