Square One Law advises Authentix on its acquisition of Security Print Solutions Limited

North East commercial law firm, Square One Law has advised USA based Authentix, the authority in authentication on the acquisition (through its UK subsidiary Authentix Limited) in the acquisition of the share capital of Security Print Solutions Limited (SPS), of the UK’s leading specialty security printing solutions provider.  Authentix provides advanced authentication solutions for governments, central banks and commercial products including manufacturers in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries. SPS offers its global clients high security print solutions ranging from security labels, documents and high security tax stamps.

This strategic acquisition allows Authentix to accelerate its ambitious growth plan, expanding its support in tax recovery programs for governments as well as the increasing the scope of offerings for its brand protection clients. It allows the provision of integrated high security printing and the authentication and information solutions all under one roof.

Mark Weintrub, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at Authentix said: “We are grateful to the Square One Law team for all their efforts and assistance in making the deal happen and working with me to keep the deal on track to a very tight schedule. It has been a pleasure working with them.”

Marie-Louise Bozonet, corporate partner at Square One Law said: “There are a number of synergies between Authentix and SPS and this enables the business to offer an even larger portfolio of security technologies to its global clients. We were delighted to work with Mark and the team on this transaction.”
