Calling all new and emerging businesses

On 26 November the inaugural Newcastle Business Awards takes place at the Beacon Centre in the City’s west end. The awards aim to showcase the thriving, dynamic and diverse business sector in Newcastle and to shine a light on new and developing businesses, giving them the recognition they deserve.

The Square One Law team are delighted to be involved with the awards as sponsors of the New Business Category and we are looking forward to working with the other judges to uncover new and emerging talent in the region.

Partner and head of employment Jean Pierre van Zyl said: “Four years ago Square One Law was a start-up, so we understand the drive and energy required to build a business. We’ve come a long way and thanks to the support of our clients, we were delighted to be named Corporate Law Firm of the Year in 2014 by Insider Dealmakers and Law firm of the Year and Corporate Team of the Year at the 2015 Northern Law Awards.

“We fully understand what it is like to be an emerging business in today’s competitive marketplace and wanted to support and encourage those businesses that are also starting their own growth. “

There is no charge to submit your nominations, simply follow the link and complete the short form, the deadline date for entries is 30th September 2015.

In addition to celebrating local and emerging talent, the awards will raise awareness for local charity, Newcastle West End Foodbank, one of the largest foodbanks in the country. All guests will be sent a peel-able sticker to stick onto a tin of food which they bring along on the night as their invitation. All the tins will be donated to the Foodbank for distribution via their network.

We are confident that this will be a fantastic event and we encourage everyone to get involved and nominate themselves and others in as many of the nine categories as possible.

We look forward to seeing you on the night.
