Growing reputation of Square One Law’s litigation team attracts new talent

North East commercial law firm, Square One Law has strengthened its litigation team with the appointment of two senior associates, Mark Egner and Shaun Reardon-John, and assistant solicitor, Kieran Kelly.

Gillian Tatt, head of the litigation team said: “Business disputes cause disruption and anxiety for businesses, but are part of today’s competitive, corporate life.

“With the current political and economic uncertainty, we have experienced an increase in the number of commercial dispute instructions. The type, value and complexity of the disputes being referred to us demands a high-calibre team of advisers to deal efficiently and effectively.  Therefore, I am delighted to welcome Mark, Shaun and Kieran to our experienced team.

“We are building a team that has expertise in key areas in relation to litigation and dispute resolution and Mark and Shaun bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge dealing with commercial and international litigation.”

Shaun Reardon-John, recently returned to the North East from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and brings with him a portfolio of international contacts as well as extensive international insolvency and arbitration expertise.

Mark Egner, formerly at Watson Burton, qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has a broad range of litigation experience including property litigation and disputes involving issues such as contracts, companies, intellectual property, insolvency issues, and injunctive relief.

Shaun Reardon-John said: “When thinking about my relocation from the BVI to the North East, I was attracted to Square One Law because of its growing reputation within the marketplace and the quality of its clients.
