Queen’s Birthday Honours List

Congratulations to our partner Neil Warwick OBE and our clients, Mohammed Ishaq MBE of The Punjab Kitchen Ltd and Dr Colin Herron CBE of Zero Carbon Futures

Square One Law is delighted to congratulate EU and Competition partner, Neil Warwick on his recent award of an OBE in the Queen’s Honours List. The award was for services to the economy having served on both boards for European Structural Funding between 2007 and 2013 and now Chairing the ESIF Sub-committee on behalf of the North East LEP. He is also Chair of the FSB National Policy Unit for Brexit, the Sustainable Urban Development Fund and a member of the Business Growth Board for NELEP.

In relation to services to young people in the North East – Neil is a director and trustee of the Tyne and Wear Community Foundation, Chairing the Young Peoples’ Panel and Risk and Scrutiny Committee, as well as doing voluntary work for organisations such as Headliners and the Prince’s Trust.

We also want to congratulate our clients, Mohammed Ishaq, Director of The Punjab Kitchen on his MBE, for services to Innovation and to the economy in Tyne and Wear. Colin has worked in the automotive industry for over 45 years and has become a leading advocate for the UK’s shift to low carbon transport. Over the last ten years, he has worked tirelessly to support the UK’s transition to electric cars. Not only has he worked closely with UK Government to help meet their ambitions, he has also ensured that the North East is recognised as an important region for the manufacture, research and development of this new technology.
